Two new books: Cafe Stories: relationships and The Best of Cafe Stories.
Cafe Stories: relationships is a collection of my best love stories, some quirky, some romantic, but all of them entertaining. I put them in one book because I am still defining my genre style. Many of my stories, along with my novel, The Da Vinci Diamond, use a love story as a primary or secondary plot. Although I'm quite comfortable writing straight love stories, I prefer to have it become a secondary plot to a larger genre (e.g. mystery, comedy, science fiction, etc.). Also, because I have dabbled in screenwriting, I see this as a logical way to define my voice. It's unlikely that you'll find any of my stories without a love story subplot.
The Best of Cafe Stories is my collection of the best of the 81 stories I have had published so far. It begins with a sequel to The Da Vinci Diamond (The 7 Hills Technology Group), has a couple new stories not previously published in my books along with the most critically acclaimed stories I have had. Again, the reason for this volume is to further define my voice, work from the best stories I have done. I feel like these two collections represent a plateau, a new level from which to start, as I reach for the next level of my writing.
I am currently working on "The Case of the Chinese Coins", the third story in my Detective Tony Mariani series (following The Da Vinci Diamond and The 7 Hills Technology Group). I will also be adding new stories to be published by magazines in my primary markets (the U.S., Canada, Australia and Great Britain).
I always welcome feedback from my readers. If you would like a book for free, please contact me (jguarino.author@gmail.com) and I'll be glad to send one along.
